Overview:

The National Do Not Call Registry gives consumers a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. All automotive dealers are designed as telemarketers under this regulation and must train their staff in addition to providing a formal written Policy. Most telemarketers should not call a number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do outside of compliance boundaries, consumers can file a compliant which could instigate an investigation by either federal or state regulators which could lead to staggering fines.
